How can the service be used?
You can use our service with Physical IP Phones (most popular option), on your computer (via Softphone) or on your smart mobile device (again via softphone). In terms of Physical IP Phones, we can offer more than 30 options.
How long does the activation take?
New accounts get activated within 24 business hours from the time we receive the papers signed. It can be much faster sometimes (within a few hours), depending on how many new accounts we have on the queue to open for that particular day. And you are looking at 3-4 business days (with ground shipping) or faster before you receive the phones.
How long porting a number takes?
It can take up to 10 business days to port your local number(s). You can either keep the service with your current provider until the porting is completed OR we can provide you with temporary number(s) until your porting completes, so in both cases, there is no downtime for your phone numbers. And in both cases you should not cancel your current service, before we have informed you that the porting process is complete.
Do I need a special Internet router or equipment?
You need just high-speed Internet connection. The requirement is 64kbps upload and 64kbps download speed per phone call. You can estimate the bandwidth that you need by multiplying those numbers by the number of lines that you want. If you are not sure what is your current speed you can always call us at 1-866-358-0969 and we will be happy to assist you.
For best quality we suggest using QoS (Quality of Service) option of your router. The feature sets Voice traffic with higher priority than the rest of the traffic.
What happens when Internet or power goes down?
Your phones continue to work since your PBX is hosted in the cloud. You can set up your mobile phone as destination in case your power goes down. In this case you will be able to receive your calls on your mobile phone.
How long is the free trial?
Our billing is POST-PAID.
So basically, we will not bill you until 30 days since after the activation of the account.
This gives you a 30 day window to get back to us, in case that you do not wish to continue with our service.
If that happens, you WILL NOT be billed.
However, if you don’t let us know within 30 days, you will be billed for that first month of service on the 30th day since your account’s activation.
